Tinolang Manok
Hi. I'm going to show you an easy way to make show you how to make tinolang manok, a soup that is hearty, healthy, and tasty.
You will need:
- 2 kilos chicken (Any parts, breast, thigh, or wings)
- 1 Cup of malunggay leaves
- 1 cup hot pepper leaves
- 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 Piece unripe papaya
- 6 cups water
- 1 cube of knorr chicken powder
- 1 Onion Bulb (White or Red)
- 4 Cloves of Garlic
- 3 Thumbs of ginger
- 2 Tablespoon of fish sauce
- 3 Tablespoon of vegetable oil
How to cook:
- Heat the oil in a pot.
- Sauté the garlic, onion, and ginger.
- Add ground black pepper.
- When the onion starts to get soft, add the chicken and cook it for 5 minutes or until it turns light brown.
- Pour in the water and let it boil.
- Cover, and then set the heat to low and boil for 40 minutes.
- Add knorr chicken cube and chayote or papaya stir, cover, and cook for 5 minutes.
- Add malunggay and hot pepper leaves and in the pot pour fish sauce and continue to cook for 2 minutes.
- When it’s cooked transfer it to a serving bowl and serve it with hot rice.
