Duck Adobo
Hi. I'm going to show you an easy way to make duck adobo, very simple Pinoy dish that anyone can make in their homes.
You will need:
- 1 whole duck ( cleaned and sliced to your desired size)
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 medium onion, minced
- 1/4 cup vinegar
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 2 cups sprite
- 1/4 teaspoon ground pepper
- Bay leaves
- salt if needed
How to cook:
- In a pan, sauté garlic and onion.
- Once onion is transparent, add the duck and continue to sauté until the meat is cooked somewhat white in color.
- Pour the vinegar, soy sauce, bay leaves and sprinkle ground pepper.
- Simmer until the soy sauce color is evenly distributed in the meat.
- Next, pour Sprite and bring to a boil and simmer until the meat becomes tender.
- Season with salt or fish sauce to taste. Simmer in low heat for 5 minutes more.
- Turn off heat.
- Serve and enjoy!
